Thank you to all of the families, self-advocates and Disability Organizations who came to Disability Day on the Hill at Legislative Plaza on January 29th, 2014! We had a great time meeting with you and hearing about your meetings with your state legislators!

The vision of the Tennessee Disability Coalition is to create a society that values, supports and includes people with disabilties. In pursuit of that vision, our Board of Directors has designated several areas of work.

These are not comprehensive, but provide an overview of the issues in each area and an introduction to the current efforts that the Tennessee Disability Coalition and our partners are engaged in to address them.

We work together to advocate for public policy that ensures self-determination, independence, empowerment, and inclusion for people with disabilities in areas such as accessibility, education, healthcare, housing, and voting rights.
