The support and guidance of our 40+ member organizations is critical to the success of the Tennessee Disability Coalition.
Their partnership represents a shared commitment to our mission of creating a society that values, includes and supports people with disabilities. We greatly value their participation and vision.
The Coalition hosts two membership meetings each year. In the beginning of the calendar year, we meet to prepare for Disability Day on the Hill in Nashville, TN. At the end of Summer, we meet to engage the membership in a discussion of current policy challenges in the disability community and to begin an agenda for the Coalition's upcoming year of policy work.
Coalition members nominate and elect our Board of Directors. The Board is composed of representatives of each Grand Division of the state and represents the diversity of the state.
Annual membership is renewed in the beginning of the calendar year. Nominal dues are collected with exceptions based on financial circumstances.
