Life After Injury

Hear from Andrea, Thor, and families about transitioning back to school and daily living after experiencing a brain injury.

Yasmeene was a typical 13-year-old who experienced a TBI while falling in a school gym. Read her story told through her mother’s point of view about the difficulties Yasmeene faces because of her injury.

#TBIaffectedme is a movement through the Brain Injury Alliance of NJ to showcase individuals and their unique stories about how a TBI affected them.

Brainline, a national multimedia project offering information about TBI, features stories from people who have experienced a brain injury and from caregivers who are taking care of their loved ones.

To hear survivor stories from individuals and how they managed their own unique brain injury, please see the CDC Survivor Stories page.
