TennCare's Home Health Cuts
The Tennessee General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Government Operations just reviewed the limits on home health hours that TennCare started using last year. They did not make a final decision. Other legislative meetings about these rules are coming up.
Please let your state representatives and senators know the rules are unacceptable by calling them, especially if they are one of the legislators on the list below. You can find your legislators’ names and phone numbers online at http://www.capitol.tn.gov/legislators or by calling (800) 449-8366.
What should you tell your legislators when you call?
Tell your legislators that you are against TennCare’s new home health rules because they are bad for you, your family, or your business. Tell them how the new rules hurt you, and give them your home address. You can influence the results of these meetings. The only way the legislators will know how these cuts affect people is if you tell them.
When should you call your legislators?
Call your legislators’ offices this week. Then, have your family and friends call their legislators to explain to them how these cuts are hurting Tennessee families. Every call will make a difference.
If your legislators are on the list below, then they are on one of the committees that will be making the final decision, and it is even more important that you call this week. Everyone has one state representative and one state senator:
