project B.R.A.I.N welcomes you to the virtual school!

Project BRAIN is a resource and training network for educators, families, and health care professionals who support students with traumatic brain injury (TBI). We invite you to tour our "school" to learn more about TBI, how it can affect children and youth, and ways to identify and provide academic supports for students with disabilities resulting from TBI.

This CD has been developed to:

  • Provide "hot" links and references to local and national information on TBI in the school-aged population
  • Provide additional information and "tools" to use in the classroom when working with students who have TBI
  • Provide insights from family perspectives on how to support students with TBI at school
  • Provide basic information about the medical aspects of TBI, including:
    • How TBI happens & how the effects may look
    • Information about concussion/mild TBI
    • Information about medical management following TBI

Quick Start - Your tour begins through the virtual window in the top left corner. (Enter the school through the front door by clicking on it.) The yellow arrows pointing to the doors throughout the school are clickable "hotspots" by which you may enter the room of your choice. You may also enter different rooms of the school by clicking on the navigation bar at the top of the screen. Once inside each room, a list of quick links to information inside that room will appear in the bottom left corner.

Enjoy your tour and thanks for visiting!
